OnStream provides gas and electricity metering solutions to the UK. OnStream is a National Grid company – the UK's largest investor-owned utility business. The company needed its website brought up-to-date, made easier to use and designed in line with the National Grid's site.

The design of the existing OnStream site had not been updated for a number of years and this reflected poorly on the company. It was also quite frustrating for visitors to use the site to find out information and make contact with OnStream to arrange or change appointment times.
Full Cream Milk took the design of OnStream’s parent company, National Grid, and applied it to a new set of simplified webpages. Forms to confirm or rearrange important fuel meter fitting appointments were made much more prominent and easier to use, with JavaScript-based validation providing feedback to customers immediately and doing away with multiple page refreshes. This reduced the number of user errors and form abandonment fell significantly.
As collecting customer data such as names, telephone numbers and addresses was an essential part of OnStream’s online business, we put in place a robust SSL certificate to protect that data.
Since undertaking this work, OnStream has further developed its approach and has implemented a full-featured customer support system which has been integrated into the site we developed. The content-managed features remain in place, allowing OnStream to update the site independently and maintain its online presence effectively.
