Holy Trinity Weymouth
Holy Trinity with St Nicholas in Weymouth is a Church of England church serving its community in Dorset. We were asked by the church to redesign and develop its Web site to embody its friendly and approachable character, as well as provide it with the tools to reach out further within its parish.

In consultation with Holy Trinity, we identified the aims and objectives of the site and the needs of its users. We felt that the site should reflect the active role played in the community by the church and provide a clear, user-friendly online experience.
The main purpose of the site was to promote the church and its activities to everyone in Weymouth, as well as provide details of services and events, publish the vicar’s monthly letter and other newsworthy items, and contain information about the history of the church. Contact details for members of the clergy and parish officers would be made available. It was also important that the content on the site didn’t merely replicate the parish magazine, so clear differences were established during the construction stage.
We performed a survey of other parish church Web sites to research the field and developed our design before setting up the content management system allowing Holy Trinity to update the site. We were able to develop the site ‘behind’ the existing site, so that launch would be seamless.
As part of the development process, we re-drew the church’s logo, providing new high-resolution files for the church to use in future publications.
